With my club soccer team season coming to and end. This normally would be the time of year I start back up on the bike and start joining everyone on the weekly rides. As it turns out, Washington High School needs an Assistant Soccer coach, and I was offered the position. So, with practice almost every night from August 1st until late fall, and soccer conditioning in June and Family vacation in July. That leaves very little time for Cycling. I will miss riding the weekly rides with everyone, and i will still try to get out on my own on occasion.

Tonight I was coming downhill to a blind curve (about 25 mph), looked up with a car coming towards me and a deer in my lane. Car ends up off his side of the road, the deer goes back and forth until he gets out of the road. I lock up the brakes, fish tail quite abit but keep upright until the deer gets out the way. With the sun going down sooner, and us riding in more the twilight, be very carfeful of the deer and make your self visible to cars.

I am going to do a westside ride tomorrow night (tuesday). Its about 20 miles, I will start from my house at 7pm. If anyone wants to come out they are welcome. I will reform at stops to keep the group together. Plenty of parking in my yard.
