Pedals for Pooches no more??
Submitted by bioman63 on Sat, 2012-02-18 22:32.Looks like Briggs has decided to do a 5K & 10K fun walk/run on March 24th instead of Pedals for Pooches. It's called Tails on Trails. There is no sign of Pedals for Pooches on the Briggs web site.

CASA Ride volunteers needed

The CASA organizers are looking for volunteers to help out with various jobs. If you go to http://casarivercentury.org/News.aspx you can see where they need volunteers. Jeff and Susan Brandenburg have arranged for the Busy Bees 4H club to man the South Jefferson Elem. (Summit Point) rest stop in the morning - THANKS Jeff and Susan!

New Years Day Ride
Submitted by bioman63 on Fri, 2011-12-30 22:53.Folks--New Years Day Ride--the weather report has gotten much better--temps in the 50s, mostly sunny. Let's meet at the Antietam Visitor at 11:30, and start the ride at 11:40. The whole ride is about 18 miles, with an earlier bail- out.

Cocktails on the Carport

Spring has finally come to the Mid Atlantic, and Spring for us means that the local cycling clubs are getting into the real swing of things once again. There are clubs out there for all kinds of riders, but randonneuring groups hold a special place in our hearts here at Velo Orange.

Time change and the Bakerton ride.

I would like to start next Wednesday the 16th at 5:15 and as the amount of light increases we can adjust the start time if 5:15 is too early. Hope to see a good turn out this year.
