Submitted by bioman63 on Sat, 2012-02-18 22:32.Looks like Briggs has decided to do a 5K & 10K fun walk/run on March 24th instead of Pedals for Pooches. It's called Tails on Trails. There is no sign of Pedals for Pooches on the Briggs web site.

Poker Run Fundraiser for Tour de Cure
Submitted by jhughes on Sun, 2012-01-29 13:40.All,
I am proposing doing a Poker Run to raise money for our Tour de Cure team. Poker runs are wildly popular among motorcycle groups, but there is no reason we couldn't do this as a bicycling effort.

Day off rides Mon & Tues (12/12 & 12/13)
Submitted by jhughes on Sat, 2011-12-10 20:17.I am going to be working from home Monday & Tuesday and am probably going to sneak out for a ride or two. I think the warmest time to ride would be between 1 & 3, but on Monday I have an appointment at 2:15. So on Monday I plan to try and ride at 11am, on Tuesday I plan to ride at 1.
I'll probably do 25-32ish miles, leaving from Washington High School unless anyone has other suggestions.
Post up, call, email, or text me if you're interested in either day or both.

Black Friday Road Ride
Submitted by cfellers on Wed, 2011-11-23 23:41.Looks like a great day on Friday for a ride. Title says Black Friday but it actually looks like a very bright(Sunny Friday). For those of you more inclined to ride rather than shop, come on out and join us for a ride somewhere between 30M & 50M. Seems like a wide range but not sure how riders are going to feel. There should be options for bailouts if necessary. Ride will start at Scott Bean's house at 10. Should be starting to warm up by then. Pace should be a moderate 15-17mph average. Feel free to call with any questions 304-283-2077. Happy Thankgiving, Charlie

Saturday Afternoon Road Ride 11.19.11
Submitted by cfellers on Sat, 2011-11-19 01:37.Calling all roadies. Planning a ride from Johnny Dyer's tomorrow afternoon starting at 1. Should be in the 35-40M range give or take a bit. I hate to be too precise. The good news is (depending on your perspective)that there won't be a whole lot of climbing. Mind you, I didn't say there wouldn't be any climbing. My guess is about 2000ft of elevation. Looks like nice weather for mid-November. Come on out and take advantage of the good weather while you can. Please post up if planning to ride. Call with any questions or if you need directions, 304-283-2077. Hope to see ya there. Charlie

Open Letter to Club Members
Submitted by cmorg45 on Sun, 2011-10-02 09:42.A year and a half ago, I was getting bored riding my hybrid on the streets within my subdivision. I'd made a few excursions out onto the county roads, but was terrified by the traffic, and motorist's general lack of respect, if not downright hostility. I had taken up cycling to keep my wife company as she was looking for non-impact exercise, and didn't want to find myself dropping the sport out of boredom.

Sunday Ride
Submitted by jhughes on Fri, 2011-09-30 17:32.I thought I saw somewhere that someone was looking to go for a ride Sunday afternoon 1 or 2ish, but now I can't find it, maybe it was a dream. Anyway I would like to go out for an hour or two Sunday afternoon if anyone is interested.
Some Team Integrity folks are doing a ride, but it's in the morning & I'll be in church.
